First Mass

Father Scott Caton celebrated his first Mass at beautiful St. Michael’s church on Pentecost Sunday (6/12/2011).  For each of the parishioners of St. Michael’s, Our Lady of Victory, and Blessed Sacrament who nearly filled the large church, Mass was likely somewhat different than usual.

Some might not have been used to the “smells and bells” and Mass parts  taken from Missa pro Victoria and sung by the choir. Others were probably unaccustomed to the Eucharist offered under both species.

In Fr. Caton’s homily on “Eternity, history, spirituality,” he spoke of the Holy Spirit’s role in each.

A wonderful Mass – may  God bless Fr. Caton’s priestly ministry.
